Inspector Dashboard
Understanding your home base — what you see when you log in and how to navigate it.
After logging in, you land on the Inspector Dashboard. This is your central hub for all assigned work.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is divided into three main areas:
- Summary Cards — At the top, quick counts of your Open, In Progress, Submitted, and Returned inspections.
- Inspection Queue — A table listing all inspections currently assigned to you. See Your Inspection Queue for details.
- Recent Activity — A log of recent actions on your account (submissions, returned reports, profile changes).
Status Badges
Each inspection in the dashboard is labeled with a status badge:
- Assigned — The inspection has been assigned to you but not yet started.
- In Progress — You have opened the inspection and begun recording findings.
- Submitted — The report has been submitted and is awaiting review.
- Returned — The report was reviewed and sent back for revisions.
- Approved — The report has been accepted. No further action is needed.
Top Navigation Bar
The navigation bar at the top of every portal page includes:
- Dashboard — Returns you to this page from anywhere.
- Notifications — Bell icon; shows unread alerts about new assignments and returned reports.
- Account Menu — Your name/avatar; links to Profile, Settings, and Sign Out.
Bookmark the portal URL so you can return directly to your dashboard without re-entering the address each time.
