Notifications
Managing your in-app and email notification preferences.
XpressInspect sends notifications to keep you informed about new assignments, report status changes, and account alerts. You can control which notifications you receive and how.
Notification Types
- New assignment — A new inspection has been assigned to you.
- Report approved — Your submitted report has been approved.
- Report returned — Your report has been sent back for revisions.
- Due date reminder — An inspection is due within the next 48 hours.
- Credential expiry — Your license or certification is expiring soon.
- Account activity — Password changes, login from a new device.
Managing Preferences
Go to My Profile → Notification Settings. For each notification type, you can enable or disable:
- In-app — Bell icon alerts in the portal.
- Email — Messages sent to your registered email address.
Credential expiry and account activity notifications cannot be disabled — they are required for security and compliance purposes.
Viewing In-App Notifications
Click the bell icon 🔔 in the top navigation bar to see your notification feed. Click any notification to go directly to the relevant inspection or account section. Mark individual notifications as read, or use Mark all as read to clear the feed.
